Follow the Journey to Åland Open 2025!

We are proud to introduce the Future Disc Golf initiative, a groundbreaking opportunity for young talents to shine on the international stage! This exciting program is closely connected to Åland Open 2025, where junior players from around the world will gather for a week of competition, learning, and community. We are also hoping to get players from China.

The journey begins this May and June with a series of qualifying events across Europe and the United States. These qualifiers will be the first step for juniors aiming to secure a spot at the prestigious Åland Open. A total of 13 events in the U.S. and multiple key events across at least four European countries will give players the chance to showcase their skills.

Throughout the qualification season, we will provide updates, stories, and highlights so you can follow the rising stars of disc golf as they make their way toward Åland. It will be a thrilling journey of determination, talent, and dreams coming true.

Countries will also have the opportunity to nominate junior players directly, making this pilot year even more inclusive and exciting.

An important focus for this first pilot year is to start collecting content from the various junior tournaments. By gathering stories, images, and videos, we aim to build a strong foundation that will allow us to showcase even more of this new concept next year and beyond.

You will also be able to follow the competitions on Åland through our very own channel. We are proud to announce that Disc Golf Academy will produce the content, ensuring that friends and family can follow the excitement live, especially during the final day of competition at Åland Open.
